It's not hard to be smitten with local Seattle food offerings. We're a hop, skip and a jump away from Beecher's cheeses, Rachel's Ginger Beer or the fabulously rich and flavorful Ellenos yogurt. The last of this ruling triumvirate prompted us to make a big batch of our favorite recipe from Shared Appetite for strawberry habanero quick jam over the weekend.
The beauty of this recipe is that it doesn't require processing like shelf-stable jam, and is as good on toast as it is swirled into your favorite Greek yogurt. The heat is tempered by the sweetness of the strawberries, and the combination is dynamite. If you haven't tried making jam at home yet, this is the place to start!
